Our music video has all sort of different elements, such as the usage of Chromo key- where we made Kim stand out from the background. Her dress was coloured yellow- matching the autumn leaves, with the of colour corrector. We have also used different locations, unlike in some music videos where the artist only uses one place e.g. A studio. We have done our music video in three locations- Lavender fields, London and Brighton, we chose these locations because we thought that they were appropriate for our song- "Sun is Up". We had constant changes to hold the eyes of the audiences glued to the screen. In our music video we also have Style, which is one of the main component behind every successful music video. We have used mainly long shots to unveil the beautiful backgrounds and to make Kim stand out from the scenery. We also have a story line to go with the song, which is very unique because the story is usually isn't the dominant part of the video.
We have a mixture based storyline where the artist is playing as well as a narrative storyline occurring and the camera cross cuts to each scene. We have used few tracking shots and used jump cutting in our editing processes. We have also used bright lighting and creative settings. The colours would appeal to our target audience- mainly young teens, as many pop stars are young themselves and express themselves through the lyrics of the song. This is very effective because it shows their emotions and how they may feel.
